Cuesta del Tajo, at the end of Calle San Miguel (the main promenade), has steep steps leading down to the old fishing district of El Bajondillo which has restaurants and souvenirs kiosks leading down to the beach.

There are many public gardens with an incredible range of trees, over one thousand species in fact, ranging from magnolias to banana trees. Plus lots of colourful roses and azaleas. There are even three forests just on the outskirts with freshwater springs and barbecue facilities.
