Idyllic beaches, blue skies, incredible cuisine.

•Golf in CaroveiroThere are three good courses close to Carvoerio. They are:

•Vale de Milho, nine challenging holes to reach par 27 on a course designed by David Thomas (who designed the Brabazon course used for the Ryder Cup for 3 years). This is a pretty course with waterfalls and wonderful views over the sea.

•Quinta de Gramacho - a challenging double 9 hole course recently re-designed by Ronald Fream and featuring many lakes. There's also a driving range.

•Vale de Pinta; another Fream designed golf course, Vale da Pinta set in an old olive grove and is a full eighteen-hole course.

•Eating out in Caroveiro There is a superb choice of restaurants serving local fresh fish and seafood specialities, steak Portuguese and giant prawns piri piri.

•The best restaurant in Carvoerio This is impossible to judge with over 42 reviews about the fabulous food in Carvoerio. Although O Farol and El and Ela restaurants did get two votes each. But in truth, you are literally spoilt for choice. The incredible array of delicious cuisine is summed up by our holidaymakers: “Second time in Carvoerio... Very difficult to pick a favourite restaurant. Easier to say we have tried most of the restaurants and have never come away disappointed. Terrific place to eat with a great selection ... and no b...y McDonalds. Thankfully. Lovely place. Go there.”

•And “Carvoeiro is a lovely village, all restaurants were superb.”

•The best bar in Carvoeiro? To be fair there seems to be some good local bars, but Rascals sounds lovely. Here's one holidaymakers top tip:

•“Found a great Cocktail bar called "Rascals - The Lounge" it was very relaxing and at night is lit inside with candles and easy listening music (chill out). Would 100% recommond a visit there.”
