•Take a jeep safari and explore the lesser known parts of this exquisite island. Visit secluded beaches, Mount Vrahionas, buy handicrafts in small traditional villages and see the shipwreck bay from the cliffs.

•The sleepy resort of Tragaki is nearby and is a lovely place to go for a walk or cycle and explore the village, the olive groves and the pretty beach.

•Take a boat trip to the island of Kefalonia.

•Zante is only 5km away and there are frequent bus services to the capital city which is top place for shopping and sightseeing.

Valantinos has outdoor seating and serves fresh food all cooked to order. Their customers rate the restaurant highly in terms of value, atmosphere and service and the food which includes delicious lamb roasted on a spit; stuffed aubergine, sea bass, sweet chilli prawns and Befteki and lots more wonderful Greek and European dishes. •Nightlife in Tsilivi: Start off the evening with drinks at sunset before moving on to one of the local tavernas. After some excellent Greek food, hit one of the clubs, pubs or music bars for dancing, karaoke or quizzes or just to chat and watch the world go by. The Enigma nightclub is very popular.
