A perfect sunshine, sea and sand destination. Plus, PortAventura and loads more nearby.

•La Pineda. A popular, relaxing fun in the sun destination with so much to do nearby. You can visit Barcelona, Andorra, Tarragona and PortAventura.

•You can be sure of great family holidays in La Pineda, Salou as there is so much for you and the kids to do.

•Watch the kids playing on pale gold sandy beaches or take them paddling in the shallow clear waters. For older children, there are watersports, waterparks, Port Aventura, entertaining nightlife and Barcelona nearby.

•La Pineda has more of a Spanish feel than some modern resorts and this makes it very popular with those who want to experience more of the traditional Spanish atmosphere.

•It's also popular with couples who enjoy relaxing on the pretty beaches, the excellent nightlife and visiting the surrounding towns and villages such as Tarragona and Cambrills.

•What do our holidaymakers think of La Pineda? “We have travelled to La Pineda for the past 15 years because the beach is beautiful and the water clear and clean. The beach is cleaned every night and is very safe for young children. As an English couple, we always go to Gordon's Bar which is just off the sea front and would recommend it to everyone as the food is perfect - cooked to order, not kept warm for hours on end, and we consider the owner and staff to be our personal friends. We would also recommend the specialist seafood restaurant which is also just off the beach as the food in there is delicious.”

•The beaches in La Pineda: Pale gold soft sands, deep blue shallow, clear waters and a series of secluded rocky coves that stretch between Salou and La Pineda. There is a wide decked, palm fringed promenade that runs the length of the beach with various cafes and bars leading to a water park. Plus, there are lots of watersports available.

•When is the best time to visit La Pineda? May - October.

•What else can I do in La Pineda? This is a great base to explore the rest of the Costa Daurada. There are excellent local bus services; but if you are going to explore you will probably enjoy the flexibility that hiring a car in La Pineda brings.

•Visit Aquapolis, the local water park with rides and dolphin shows.
